Webster Bank Launches Web-Based Banking

WATERBURY, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--November 1, 1999--Webster Bank today announced the availability of Webster Web Banking to all current and new customers, providing them with the convenience of quick and easy Internet banking from anywhere in the United States.

Webster Web Banking is another addition to the bank's wide array of electronic banking services, including telephone banking, video banking and PC banking. Webster Web Banking offers additional convenience over its PC Banking offering. While PC Banking customers must dial directly into the bank, Web customers have the convenience of accessing their accounts using any Web browser and Internet connection. Webster Web Banking uses the latest multi-level security to ensure the safety of customer information and transactions.
