Webster Bank Names Regional President for Boston

Boston, Mass., February 21, 2011 – Webster Bank, a leading New England financial institution, announces the promotion of Paul Mollica of Abington, Mass., to president of the bank’s new Boston region. In this role, he will focus on commercial banking and coordinate Webster’s business and community affairs activities in the greater Boston area. Mollica is based in Webster’s office at 100 Franklin Street in Boston’s downtown crossing neighborhood.

Mollica joined Webster in 2007 as senior vice president and regional manager of the commercial lending group based in the greater Boston area. Prior to joining Webster, he had held various roles for Bank of America, including regional president/market executive for the Boston market and senior client manager/senior vice president. Mollica also served as a senior vice president/division head for middle market banking at Eastern Bank for five years, covering the Boston market.

Mollica is a director of the South Shore YMCA and is a member of the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Stonehill College and an M.B.A. from Suffolk University.
