Webster Bank Promotes Christopher Childs to SVP

WATERBURY, Conn, December 6, 2011 - Webster Bank, a leading regional bank, today announced the promotion of Christopher Childs to senior vice president, Webster Financial Advisors. In this role, Childs manages investments for individuals, businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

Childs joined Webster six years ago as vice president, portfolio management. Previously he was with Trust Company of Connecticut and started his banking career in Philadelphia at Provident National Bank.

A resident of Suffield, Conn., Childs was recently elected to the Board of Finance there and sits on numerous boards including the Suffield Public Library Foundation. A Chartered Financial Analyst, he earned his bachelors in environmental economics from St. Lawrence University.
