Webster Bank Promotes Martin H. Anderson to SVP

WATERBURY, CT, December 2, 2011 - Webster Bank, a leading regional bank, today announced the promotion of Martin H. Anderson to senior vice president for Middle Market banking. In this role, Anderson will focus his relationship building skills with middle market businesses in Fairfield County, part of Webster's growing footprint from Westchester County to Massachusetts.

Anderson joined Webster in 2009 as vice president, bringing 20 years of management, leadership and banking experience to our customers. He had previously served as vice president, senior relationship manager, Commercial Lending with People's United Bank. His experience also includes working at Merrill Lynch, IBJ Whitehall Financial Group, The Bank of New York, and Fleet Boston Financial Corporation, where his career began.

A resident of Bethel, CT., Anderson recently served as an Instructor of Investment and Credit Analysis at Norwalk Community College. He earned his MBA from the University of Connecticut and a BA in Economics and U.S. History from Connecticut College.
