WATERBURY, Conn, October 2, 2012 – Webster Bank, a leading bank serving businesses and consumers from Westchester County, N.Y. to Boston, Mass., today announced the hiring of Elzbieta Cieslik, CPA as senior vice president, general auditor of Webster Financial Corporation and Webster Bank. Cieslik replaces Norton Goss, who is retiring.

Prior to joining Webster, Cieslik was the global director and general auditor of GFI Group Inc., an interdealer broker, and was the director of risk advisory services at KPMG. Prior to that, she was the senior audit manager at JPMorgan Chase.
Cieslik is a graduate of Pace University. She currently lives in Staten Island, N.Y. and will be relocating to Connecticut.
