WATERBURY, Conn., April 23, 2014 – Webster Bank, a leading regional bank serving businesses and consumers from metro New York City to Boston, Mass., announced new market manager assignments. Kevin Aiken, the New Haven, Conn., market manager has been tapped to fill the market manager position in the Coastal Valley market in Connecticut. Cathy Velez, a North Haven banking center manager, has been promoted to New Haven market manager.
Aiken joined Webster in 2006. Velez has been with Webster since 1991.
“Living in the Valley corridor, Kevin has deep roots in the Greater Trumbull, Fairfield, and Bridgeport areas and will build upon Webster’s strong relationships, said Denise Kaufman, senior vice president, Region Manager at Webster. “Cathy has demonstrated her ability to grow businesses and has developed extensive relationships during her more than 20 years with Webster,” added Kaufman.
Aiken is a resident of Beacon Falls, Conn. He attended Sacred Heart University. Committed to serving his community, Aiken has been involved for many years with the American Red Cross, the United Way, rotary International, and Habitat for Humanity.
Velez is a resident of North Branford, Conn. She is currently earning her Bachelors Degree from Post University. Her community work includes serving on the Columbus House board and is a United Way Community Impact Cabinet board member.
