Three Webster Bankers Promoted to SVP

WATERBURY, Conn., April 23, 2014 – Webster Bank announced three promotions to senior vice president: Shelly Abdella, Finance and Profitability; William Magee, Capital Markets; and Ewa Stasiowska, director of Enterprise Risk Management.

Shelly Abdella will celebrate 13 years with Webster in June, having joined the company in 2001 as a financial information analyst. For the past seven years, she has held the position of vice president, finance with the Financial Planning Department. A resident of New Preston, Conn., Abdella is based in Waterbury. She earned her MBA in Management from the University of Connecticut.

William Magee has 25 years of commercial banking experience with a strong background in syndicated loans and leveraged finance. He joined Webster in 2010. A resident of Fairfield, Conn., Magee is based in Hartford. He earned his bachelors degree from Towson University and is also a CFA. Magee is involved in a number of community activities in Fairfield including his work with St. Paul’s Church.

Ewa Stasiowska has more than 15 years of experience in banking. She joined Webster in 2008 as vice president, loan review and has been managing the Enterprise Risk Management Program since 2011. Stasiowska is a resident of West Simsbury, Conn., and works in the Cheshire office. She is a graduate of Boston University with a degree in Economics and holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Connecticut.
